State Health Facts has posted new data. Highlights include:
- Adult Medicaid enrollment increased by 12.7% nationwide between June 2009 and June 2011; one state’s enrollment grew by 83.8% over the same period while two other states experienced a decline.
- Non-profit groups in 22 states have been awarded loans through the Affordable Care Act to create a new type of non-profit health insurer called a Consumer Oriented and Operated Plan (CO-OP). Awards total almost $1.7 billion.
