Across the country, local jails are overfilled with individuals suffering from mental illness who don’t belong there. This is not an intractable problem. There are great examples being set by leaders in many communities who are bringing stakeholders together and making outstanding progress on this challenge.

The Institute for Behavioral Healthcare Improvement (IBHI) with support from the Mental Health Foundation, will showcase Progress Made Possible at the Intersection of Behavioral Health and Criminal Justice - Dec. 3-5 in Miami, FL.

Special Guest: Dr. Elinore McCance-Katz, MD, PhD Assistant Secretary for Mental Health and Substance Use in the federal Department of Health and Human Services
