March 20 Kickoff for In NYS In Person Recovery and Wellness Training Events

NYAPRS Note: Are you a new HCBS provider, a Health Home Care Manager or been around for a while but would love a “refresher course” on Recovery and Wellness? MCTAC along with NYAPRS, CPI and CASA/MCTAC staff have put together a series of in person and on line training opportunities for your staff to be the best they can be in providing services in this ever changing healthcare environment. Begin with the “Foundations of Recovery and Wellness” training series listed below to be held in person in 5 locations around the state for your convenience. We know how valuable your staff time is and we are happy to bring this in person training closer to your agency. Don’t miss out on this opportunity-sign up below!
Please note,CEUsfor NYS social workers, continuing education credits for CPRP (Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioners),and CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor)credits will be available to those who attend these in person trainings. In-Person Recovery and Wellness Training Events

OMH and OASAS along with their technical assistance training partners (CPI,NYAPRS,CASA/MCTAC, McSilver/MCTAC) are happy to announce a training series that will include both in person and web-based offerings around the core concepts of recovery and wellness.Topics will include understanding what recovery is and why it is important to provide recovery-oriented services, recovery-oriented relationships and systems, transforming practice, and much more!

The trainings will be delivered by the technical assistance training partners (CPI,NYAPRS,CASA/MCTAC, McSilver/MCTAC) and will be for all New York State Adult Behavioral Health Home and Community Based Services providers.

The first portion of the trainings will be offered in person in 5 locations,and will address Foundations of Recovery and Wellness: the power in recovery-based service provision and how research proves it, how people with a personal lived experience live it, how relationships can nurture it and how your skills can foster it.
