New York State Care Management Training Initiative

CMTI Phase 4.JPG

NYAPRS is very pleased to offer training to the Care Management workforce through the Care Management Training Initiative through a grant from NYS Department of Health.  Since 2012, our Care Management Training Initiatives (CMTI) have trained over 2,000 care management staff and supervisors across the New York State in practices designed to enhance their work.  Our current initiative has enrolled over 1,000 Care Managers!

We are partnering with:

The New York State Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare

The Center for Practice Innovations

The New York Care Coordination Program

The Coalition for Behavioral Health

The National Council for Behavioral Health

NYAPRS is thankful for the support of Health Homes and community based organizations around the state for once again supporting our application.

Our CMTI trainings are highly successful and sought after.  The 2017 – 2018 CMTI training has been remodeled to target specific knowledge and skill-building competencies required for care management staff and their organizations to be successful through the changes in the healthcare industry.  Over the course of 10 months, we are offering a total of 14 activities that will include webinars, short-videos and office hours to stimulate thinking and honor their limited training time.  Continuing Education is provided for all NYS licensed Social Workers (LMSW, LCSW), Certified Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC) and Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselors (CPRP), upon completion of the course.
